Quick Cook Method

1 C  L&B Kitchen’s Original Wheat Berries
3 C  water

Combine wheat berries and water in a 3 quart saucepan. Cover. Bring to boil; boil 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand 1 hour. Again bring to boil, then simmer until tender, about 30 minutes. Make sure wheat berries are ALWAYS covered with water. Drain and rinse well. Use as directed in recipes or freeze.

Crockpot Method

2 C  L&B Kitchen’s Original Wheat Berries
8 C  water

In a 3 quart size crock pot combine wheat berries and water. Cover and cook on low setting for 8 to 9 hours. Drain off excess water and rinse. Use as directed in recipes or freeze in plastic re-sealable bags for future use.
